Messed Up, Yet qualified by Grace

Messed Up, Yet qualified by

Grace

Messed up and broken and yet GOD qualified me by His grace!

Oh the Grace!

GRACE has continued to qualify me!

2 Corinthians 12:9 - “And He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My

strength is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my

infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

What do you do when you’ve gone through years of being abused and molested.

What do you do when you’ve gone through years of being neglected and being seen like

you don’t matter.

What do you do when your own people abandoned you and left you?

They said and perhaps even you said to yourself.

You are not good enough.

You are not beautiful enough.

You are not handsome enough.

You are an inconvenience.

You don’t look like others.

You’re not smart like others.

You are not good enough.

You are left behind.

And when you try to move forward you are thrown way back, at the very ugly place that

scrawls at you. It’s pain that cannot be shut.

Your cry is like that of Rachel - Matthew 2:18 (NKJV): “A voice was heard in Ramah,

Lamentation, weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, Refusing to

be comforted, Because they are no more.”

I want to speak about people who are messed up and they have messed up. people that are broken people that are not looking anything good.

The word of God is full of such examples of people that have been messed up

such people are Saul who became the Paul of Tursus. Paul was a murderer. A man who

went to the height of killing even, STEPHEN. But we say in the height of his wickedness,

Jesus appeared to him and call him and not only did he call him, but also he gave him a

grace, and I believe Paul operated with the grace of them that he had killed - Acts

7:59-60 (NKJV): “And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, ‘Lord

Jesus, receive my spirit.’ Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, ‘Lord, do not

charge them with this sin.’ And when he had said this, he fell asleep.” + 1 Corinthians

15:9-10 (NKJV): “For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an

apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I

am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they

all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”

When we look at MARY Magdalene coming at the fifth of Jesus, there is a lady who had

come through a lot in life. Broken passed away someone that had lost the value. She had

7demons ! she was rejected a sinner, a woman who was not good enough. But then she

came at the feet of Jesus and Jesus gave her a new lease of life -Luke 8:2 (NKJV): “and

certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities—Mary called

Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons,” + John 20:17-18 (NKJV): “Jesus said

to her, ‘Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My

brethren and say to them, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God

and your God.” ’ Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the

Lord, and that He had spoken these things to her.”

When I look at the life of many people.

I see the emptiness and the shells that have been shattered.

I see pieces that are shattered and scattered.

I see a people that they ask themselves every day am I good enough.

I see people that are looking for that perfect piece that is well done.

By the standards of men, we are not deserving to Stand before other people. For we had

no good.

We are not standing here because we did not have scars moments.

We’re not standing here because we were never crashed. We are standing here because God has healed us.

All of us in this hall, we have our good share of the brokenness and the emptiness that we

have gone through in this life. But then:

God happened.

God showed up.

God came.

We are standing here because

God has re-written our stories.

God did not come to save those who were perfect.

God came to save those who could not save themselves.

God came to save us who were messed up.

I am speaking to people who resonate very well with this.

I’m here to tell you that:

God is reconstructing us who have been messed up

God is making a good porcelain out of the broken and scattered shells.

God is making a beautiful orchard out of the wasteland.

God is making a great army out of the limping and the injured and the crippled people.

God is raising a nation and establishing kings and queens over this nations.

God is giving people their Identity and belonging.

God is Writing a great masterpiece poetry through each one of us..

God is making generals, not cowards.

God want want you to become a great person - that when you look at the eye of the

storm you will say this was a small storm.

And I want them to know that your past is your past.

Don’t allow your past to keep on hurting you.

Rise above it.

Become the eagle that will fly way above.

Let your scars be your stars

In Jesus name

Messed Up, Yet qualified by

Grace
